Christy Smith
Christy is the wife of Eric and the mother of 3. She has taught Public School, Private, and now Homeschool for almost 20 years. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Romance Languages with a concentration in Spanish from UNC- Chapel Hill, a Master’s Degree in Adult Education from East Carolina University, and is a certified Community College Instructor with 6 hours of graduate level Spanish. Christy has been working with children experiencing learning struggles for the last 5 years.
Katherine Starling
I am the owner and a test administrator. I began administering tests with Bindrim Testing in 2019. I learned so much from Kay Bindrim and have had the pleasure to continue testing homeschooled students, while continuing to train in test administration and score analysis. I have a degree from Judson College in history and bible with a minor in philosophy. I am a wife, homeschool mom of 3 kids, and Challenge B director in Rocky Mount with Classical Conversations.
Elizabeth Hanshew
Elizabeth is a wife and mother of five. While originally from Georgia, where she was born and raised, she has also lived in Maryland and West Virginia, and currently resides in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Bible from Washington Bible College. Her main job is supporting and helping her husband and raising her children. She has been homeschooling for seven years since moving to Rocky Mount. She has graduated one son who now serves in the Army and homeschools 4 kids.
Katherine Edwards
Anne “Katherine” Edwards is working on her Masters Degree at Duke University. She graduated from Meredith College with a Bachelor of Arts where she double majored in Psychology and Religious and Ethical Studies and minored in History. Before that, she was homeschooled and completed Challenges A-IV in the Classical Conversations program. Now, she loves seeing how her Psychology major allows her to work with homeschooled students in their learning and testing! In her free time, she enjoys hiking as well as playing pickleball and board games.
